Our cleaning company was founded in 1991 under the name of Emerald Cleaners in Saskatoon. Our owner was hired as supervisor of a cleaning crew who was cleaning warehouses under a one year contract. When the contract was due, the company did not renew it, so the current manager approached the supervisor to take over a new contract and keep up the good work so we can have a clean building.

Horizon Janitorial in Saskatoon welcomed this contract. We started with one building and two hard workers. We took the lead from various people and began to grow, cleaning and waxing floors for more buildings. In 1995, we bought another cleaning company with some building contracts. This made us double in growth, and we changed the name to Horizon Janitorial Service and Supplies.
